Medisoft Billing & Patient Accounting Software Training
Medisoft Patient Accounting is one of the most widely used pieces of software for medical billing in small and large practices. Learn how to use Medisoft in afforadable classes that are easy to fit into your schedule.
The Medisoft course is a total of 25 hours long (10 classes @ 2.5 hours each). Held once per week in our Bethelehem, PA office. SMALL CLASS SIZE (limit 6) ensures great training. Lori Donnelly, president of Donnelly Benefit Consultants, is the trainer. Lori has used Medisoft for over 12 years in her billing business, and is a reseller of Medisoft. Lori is also the Medical Billing & Coding instructor at Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School's Continuing Education Department. Lori uses Medisoft every day, and supports many other users as well. She has instructed a wide variety of Medisoft courses in the past.
In this class you will learn tons of ways to use Medisoft to help you get ahead in your current carrer, or enter an exciting new career in medical billing.

- How to enter patient demographical data
- How to schedule an appointment for a patient
- How to enter insurance information, including verification information, and pre-authorization information
- How to enter transactions and create claims
- How Medisoft handles both paper and electronic claims

Laptops are available for use in the class (limited amount), or students may bring their own laptop to class (preferred, for ease of working at home). Cost of training does not include the textbook, which can be purchased from us, or on your own. The textbook also comes with a student data CD for training purposes.
Please email or call for more info or a training class registration form. Deadline to register is one week prior to class start, if paying via cash or money order. Paypal echecks, personal checks, or business checks must be sent 10 days before the start of the first class.
PRE-REQUISITES for Medisoft training class: All students must have comleted a course in Medical Office Practices, Medical Billing & Coding, or have obtained an equivalent education through work experience. This is NOT a billing course! This course is to teach those who already know medical billing how to use the Medisoft softare program for billing and patient accounting.
The Cost of the class is $295.00, not including textbook. Textbook ISBN number will be provided to all students upon registration. All students will have the option of purchasing the book from us, or on your own. In some cases, used textbooks are acceptable for class, dependent upon the book, and student data CD. Please ask your instructor. Average textbook & data CD costs (new book) is $90.00. Often, used books with intact student CD's can be found on Amazon or Ebay. Students attending together CAN share a book and data CD, but will also have to share a computer as well.
NO REFUNDS will be offered for any reason. Because we run small classes, we cannot accept withdrawals. No classes will be made up individually, but classes canceled for weather problems, or at the request of the instructor will be made up at a time convenient to all students. Any student who misses a class may contact the instructor to see what work was missed, and to ask the instructor any questions regarding the material missed. The instructor will always do her best to make sure every student is able to keep up with the class. However, students in software training classes differ in their levels of ability, and some students may be working ahead of others.
The next Medisoft training class will SPRING 2009 and will be held TWICE per week Class is held on Monday AND Wednesday evenings from 5pm until 7:30pm, beginning Monday, May 4th, and ending Monday, June 8th (no class Monday, May 25th) . REGISTRATION DEADLINE is Friday, April 10. Minium class size is 3, maximum is 6.
If the session is canceled for any reason, you will be notified at least 3 days prior to the start of the session. If one class is canceled, you will be notified in advance, if possible, or on the date of the cancelation (for weather or illness). Please provide appropriate contact information.

Seminar cost is $250.00. We will be happy to email, mail or fax you a packet about the upcoming seminar. Attendance is LIMITED to 6 so that we may cover the material (textbook included) AND answer everyone's questions regarding the start up of a small billing business. Seminar is held at the DBC office in Bethlehem, PA (approx 75 minutes from Philadelphia).
